AppDynamics Integration

Introduction

The AppDynamics integration allows you to correlate load tests with business transactions captured in AppDynamics. providing a complete list of all business transactions and metrics from the end user experience, code, and associated infrastructure including Docker and public / private cloud providers.

Benefits

When performing load tests, the business transactions, infrastructure and end user experience are all available to be used for custom graphs to highlight performance of a specific transaction or test.

This allows you to understand how your applications are performing from an end-user and server level perspective and get actionable intelligence on how your application responds under load.

Transaction data is automatically collected during load test, providing drill-down to stack trace level, allowing you to pinpoint the most critical issues.

Decide

Understand how your applications are performing from an end-user and server level perspective and get actionable intelligence on how your application responds under load.

Troubleshoot

We automatically fetch business transaction data after each load test from your AppDynamics account. Quickly drill down to the stack trace level and pinpoint the issues that are the most critical.

Collaborate

Make load testing more collaborative and share performance data. By improving communication between QA and development teams, you’ll resolve issues faster and elevate performance.

Feature

In the Live View, you can use AppDynamics metrics to monitor the application performance during a test.

The selection of metrics can be saved as a preset and the metric data monitored during a test is saved as part of the test results with full resolution to prevent data aggregation and loss of resolution.

The collected metrics can then be used when Analyze Results the test results and Reports .

There is no data aggregation - all data is saved with full resolution with each test.

Process

The workflow for the AppDynamics is as follows:

  • Optionally, select specific AppDynamics Applications to monitor

  • Select AppDynamics metrics to monitor

  • Run the test

  • Update the selection by Select Metrics as needed during the test
