Disable HTTP/S Anti-Virus Network-Scanning

Almost all anti-virus products support scanning HTTP/S network traffic, but they are often unable to handle the load released by a load test – and they also will delay the measured response times. So, Apica recommends disabling the scanning HTTP/S network connections for viruses.

Do not completely disable your virus scanner.

Most important: Keep enabled scanning the Disk I/O for viruses.

The following picture shows as an example of how to disable HTTP/S anti-virus scanning in Windows 10 Security; which is called “Real-time protection”:

We recommend that you re-enable HTTP/S anti-virus scanning after the execution of your tests has been completed. In Windows 10, this will happen automatically.
