ALT 6.8.3 Public Release Notes (2020-11-10)
ALT Release 6.8.3
Release date: November 10th, 2020
UX improvement on Script Management Page
We have added a hide/show empty script groups checkbox to the Script Management Page.
Files are first filtered and then the hide/show filter for empty script groups is applied.
This makes the page much cleaner, especially when using many ALT Projects.
Restart a failed Job in a running Scenario Test
Sometimes a Test fails to start due to some issues with the ZT agents.
With this new feature, users can check and fix the agent and restart the test while all other tests in the Scenario are already running.Â
This will save time not having to restart large scenarios just because one test did not start.
Filtering out non-editable files from Edit Input Files
Some files in the Edit Input Files dialog like ZT post files are not meant to be editable.
We are now filtering out those files.
Chart Metrics Granularity
The granularity sets the number of data points in charts and is a new feature in ALT.
This new feature is especially good for long-duration tests where the number of data points becomes way too many to render a readable chart.
The granularity is now set automatically to a matching level when the page is open.Â
Users can then adjust granularity as needed and it also works with zoomed-in charts.
Granularity is implemented for the following charts
Total concurrent users
Total HTTP Hits
Page response times on Scenario Analyze page
Extended User Access Control
We are extending the user access control to include Delete Projects and Delete completed Tests.
The user access control is optional and can be set per customer
Private Agent Information
When tests do not run as expected it’s today not possible for customers to track on what private agent/s the test was executed or the local Job ID.Â
As an example if a customer has 20 private agents and if a test fails they need to go through all agents one by one until they found the agent used.Â
Example of tracking information for a private agent Job
ALT Job ID
ZT Cluster Job ID (not accessible to the customer)
Agent Name (not visible to customer)
Local Job IDÂ
This information is now visible under Runtime options and will help customers to locate the agents.
Create a new Script Group when creating a new ALT Project
We have added the option to create a new script group when creating a new project.
This is a request that creates Script Groups that match the ALT Project names.
Total Passed/Failed Pages on Scenario Test Result Page
We have added Total Passed/Failed Pages on the Scenario Result Page and the Analyze tab.Â
Customers migrating from LR are Transaction oriented and this why these metrics have not been added until now.
