Single Sign-On Setting
It is possible to configure SSO login from within ALT. To set up SSO for ALT users, navigate to the “Setup > Single Sign-On Setting” page from the top menu navigation bar:
You will be brought to the “Single Sign-On Setting” page, which contains fields which will allow you to integrate ALT into your IdP to allow for SSO login and management. The options are simple and you have the option of choosing between using a SAML Metadata URL or a combination of a Sign-In URL and a Signing Certificate when configuring SSO.
Most of the information to populate within ALT can be found within your IdP configuration settings. From the ALT side, the setup is quite simple; for the most part, information from the IdP side simply needs to be populated into ALT. Refer to the tooltips for more information on what to enter in a particular text field:
Service Provider Roles
When you configure SSO login in ALT, you must either select two existing user Groups on the IdP side or define new two Groups: a Customer Admin Role Group and a Loadtest User Role Group. Of course, these mappings define which SSO groups have “Customer Admin” access and which SSO groups only have “Loadtest User” access. If you already have two groups defined for this purpose from the IdP side, simply enter the group names in the corresponding text fields. Otherwise, create two new Groups within your IdP configuration and give them appropriate names (in the above screenshot, the names “alt_customer_admin” and “alt_loadtest_user” are used). On the IdP side, these Groups must have Roles and Users added to them.
Multiple IdP groups can be assigned Customer Admin or Loadtest User rights by separating group names with a semicolon, e.g. alt_customer_admin; customer_admins; loadtest_administrators
