New features:
Ability to open two sessions at once: it is possible to open multiple sessions at the same time. Simply open two instances of the ZebraTester GUI in two separate tabs and load different scripts in each tab.
Ability to do scripting on multiple recorded sessions: - From the 7.5-A release, ZT supports the ability to open multiple recorded sessions at the same time on the different browser tabs so that users can work on multiple scripts at the same time, which improves the productivity by 30 to 40 %.
GUI refresh - New Type of navigations: - In this phase of GUI refresh, ZT no longer supports old-style JavaScript popups; instead, all the navigations from the main menus are opening as model windows.
Dark Theme: - From the 7.5-A version, ZT supports the Dark Theme. By default, the GUI will be in the Light Theme, but a user can enable the dark Theme by checking a checkbox in the personal settings screen.
Support for JavaScript: - This enables users to do custom scripting in JavaScript, like the inline script in the previous versions. The JavaScript can be saved as template scripts and supports input and output variables.
HTTP/2 support: - From the 7.5-A version, ZT supports the HTTP/2 traffic, which means users can record and execute HTTP/2-based applications. This feature can be enabled by the switch -enableHTTP2 while starting the ZT GUI/Controller.
Better Performance for ZT Java processes: - With the help of embedded Eclipse OpenJ9 JVM in ZT, the performance of Controller and Agent are improved significantly. This improved the performance of the script executions as well.
Single Click for Scripts Creation: - From the 7.5-A version, users can be able to create a script with a single click - Generate Script by Single Click.
Upgraded the Cryptographic Library: - 7.5-A version came with an upgraded version of cryptographic libraries for Transport Layer Security, which supports highly advanced cryptographic algorithms.
Support for –patch-module for the external resources: - 7.5-A version supports the --patch-module feature, which will fill the gap of not having the provision to load bootstrap classes in the previous release (Java 11 doesn’t support -Xbootclasspath and -Xbootclasspath/p).
