Version 7.0-B (Released 22 April 2021)

ZebraTester V7.0-B Release Notes (PDF)
New features:

  • mTLS authentication - 7.0-B supports secure communication between the controllers and executing agents by using mutual TLS authentication. It also supports the same for the communication between ZT and Apica Table Server.

  • New GUI theme - This will be an ongoing update on ZT until all the navigations are migrated from normal browser popup to model window.

  • New HAR file conversion - 7.0-B introduces a new HAR conversion approach that supports HAR files created by all browser types and versions.

  • Edit Option for Variables Scope - Edit the scope of the created variables. Previously, we needed to remove and recreate the variables for changing the scope. For example: from a global scope to user scope).

  • Modify a recorded session - A new feature, which is easier than the session cutter, where the user can load a session and rearrange it by using the Pages/URLs from the other recorded sessions (.prxdat files). This feature always makes sure that variables, input files, input fields, inline scripts, plugins, inner loops, URL loops, and transactions are also copied along with Pages/URLs to the current session. This will improve the modular scripting approach.

  • Deprecated the weak ciphers - 7.0-B removes all weak ciphers by removing SSL v2.0 and SSL v3.0 protocol support.

  • Cluster Jobs TTL configuration - The 7.0-B controller now accepts a startup parameter -clusterJobsTTL <number of days>. If this parameter is not provided, ZT will default to keeping the cluster jobs for 5 days. After 5 days, the controller will purge all the non-running jobs.

Bug fixes/improvements in 7.0-B

  • Upgraded the dnsjava library (dnsjava is an implementation of DNS in java).

  • Option to remove multiple variables at a time.

  • Option to disable multiple URLs at a time.
