ALT 6.5.5 Public Release Notes (2019-11-21)

ALT Release 6.5.5

Release date: November 21st, 2019

Released to: US Silo/EU Silo
Our main goal was to improve on-demand agents.

Improved ALT On-Demand Agents

Our Agent’s design has been improved with AWS auto-scaling groups.
AWS now repairs faulty agents. This enhances agent security and reliability.

Benefits

  • Improved and faster process of setting up agents with auto-scaling groups

  • More locations

On-demand Agents benefits in General

  • On-demand agents are dedicated per test/Job (i.e. not shared for more than one test/Job or shared between customers)

  • Our long-term goal is to maintain a complete globally on-demand agent set; an efficient, fast, and scalable Load Testing Platform.

  • The max number of agents per location is related to the number of available elastic IP addresses.

  • The list above is the current allocation that easily can be extended as needed.

  • The latest list of IP addresses per location can be found here

New default custom percentiles

Customers have different preferences for what is the best percentiles and after input from a few of them, we are now changing the defaults.

New defaults are now 90, 95, and 99% and in case a customer wants something else we can now set customer-specific defaults.
