Fingerprint

SSL Fingerprint Validation extracts fingerprint from a server’s certificate and compares it with an expected value.

Usage

The received SSL Fingerprint is checked against the expected value. If they match, the certificate is authentic.

If the response is different from the expected value, this can possibly mean one of the following:

  • SSL communications are being proxied

  • Possible MITM attack

  • Service uses multiple SSL Certificates

Sample results

Fingerprint is valid for domain www.yourdomain.com.

Fingerprint is invalid for domain www.yourdomain.com.
